Thanks Everyone,
Coco was panting friday on the way to the show and the vet wants more blood tests on friday.
They gave her 2 weeks to 2 months at the most because the phos and crea are bad no matter what.
I thought you might be away at the show and that's why we weren't hearing from you. I was almost afraid to open this thread today, but glad to hear she is still with you, for now. Poor old girl. I'm so sorry for both of you, and still praying for a miracle.
Thanks Everyone,
I do not think she will last 2 more weeks.
She is still weak.
The vet wants more blood tests in a few weeks and I know they will be bad.
I have been gone from the CatSite for quite a spell--didn't know it's been over a year or more--but now I'm back, and it sounds like we have the same tragic situation with our kitties--(is it kidney failure?) My Quincy is 12 years old, and a couple months or so ago, became noticeably not himself--lost weight, distanced himself from the 2 other cats, and just didn't seem like himself. Took him to the vet and found out what was wrong--never knew about it before. I can just imagine how bad you feel, so VERY SORRY for you and your kitty. Quincy was the most loved, closest cat I've ever had--if you believe that animals can be soulmates, he definitely is mine. I don't expect him to last much longer, and can't bear the idea of losing him, and I'm sure you feel the same way. My heart goes out to you both.
I don't know what to say. I know how much you love her
and how much you've done to keep her alive and happy. I'm looking at the clock right now and grieving for you both, knowing you'll soon be on your way to the Vet. I'm so, so sorry, my heart is just breaking.
I wish there was something I could say, something I could do, to make you feel better.... Just know I am thinking of you and Coco...
Many many hugs and calming vibes -
