Please help! I adopted two kittens from the local humane society four days ago. One of the kittens was positive for coccidia and I did not know it. He has been having yellowish liquid stools since I got him. The little girl was not positive for coccidia. After a trip to the vet, and another positive stool sample both kittens were started on albon. They have had two full days of albon. How long until the albon works? I work night shift full time and cannot be home to clean up after them all the time. The male goes in the litter box but he steps in his liquid stool. He has throw up a couple times too. I'm making sure they both eat and drink. This is just kind of overwhelming with having to clean and disinfect stuff all the time, worrying that they will get dehydrated, worrying that I am going to catch it too. Will they ever get better from this? They are both about 3 months old. Or is this something I will be battling for their lives? I am just feeling overwhelmed and feel like they will never get better. How long before the albon starts working? Any advice or words of wisdom is much appreciated
