Thanks for the suggestions ladies! I use litter from Pets Supplies Plus, I can't remeber the name exactly, but I've been looking for something new to try and since there's a Petsmart opening in my town, and speaking of Ms Blackie, we're neighbors! I live in Medina!Originally Posted by Ms.Blackie
I also love Dr Elsey's precious cat ultra (blue bag).
My girl has a serious UTI so you all know how many times
they visit the litter. So you need a good product.
Not dusty and clumps very hard.

I will disagree there. We only used one bag of swheat scoop because the clumps were huge and our toilet coudln't even get one of the clumps down. I was pretty dissapointed with the clumping ability. So we tried WBCL. It was awesome!! Small tight clumps, easily flushed. It was a huge improvement from the pine litter and the swheat scoop we tried before. Now we are on to chicken feed in an attempt to save moneyOriginally Posted by frawri
It just stays gummy, and so it gets caught in the tines. I was going to try WBCL, but some one on here told me it is just like swheat scoop, in that it stays gummy.
i used WBCL in my littermaids, & didn't have problems with clumping at all. but i didn't like it any better than the tidy cats, & it's more difficult to buy & costs more, so i didn't rebuy it. also, i thought it didn't do as well on odor control. the containers would almost knock me out when it came time to empty them. it would probably be better for non-automated boxes for that reason only.Originally Posted by SolarityBengals

I just tried out tidy cat, and it didn't want to work as well as it use to. Do you know if this litter you mentioned will work as well in a litter maid? It scoops the pee and poo up in about 10 min after the cat leaves the box. Is that long enough for this litter to harden. So it doesn't leave any pee behind? I hate that when it happens, because that is where all the smell is.Originally Posted by Ms.Blackie

Problem is I don't want to flush it down my toilet. It clogs up every time. So I got a litter maid, to help keep the smell down while I was at work. But the stuff you are talking about would get caught up in the tines.Originally Posted by SolarityBengals

Cearbhaill said:I have tried nearly everything in a search for a perfect litter. Tidy Cats IMO clumps best, but still sometimes leaves tiny fragments. Arm & Hammer tracks less, and tracking is the biggest of my problems in a couple of rooms so half my boxes are Tidy Cats and half Arm & Hammer.QUOTE]
I like tidy cat, but really can't stand that it leaves those tiny fragments behind. That is what smells so bad. As for Arm and Hammer do you think it woud clump tight enough to use in my litter maid?
