Clingy old lady vs hiding cat

I have a 16 year old cat named Dottie she’s very clingy and then theirs mazie who doesn’t like Dottie they hiss at each other their was some swipes Dottie doesn’t care but mazie has been hiding away what can I do to get them to get along better

How long have you had each of these cats? Did you ever go through any kind of introduction process with them? Are these indoor/outdoor cats? Much harder to deal with if they go outside because one or the other can always avoid the situation by going/staying outside.

I just got mazie she needed to be rehoused and Dottie lived here all her life and both are indoors

Their hasnt been no fights thank god mazie just doesn’t like change and they ignore each other
