Hi. It's been awhile since I've been on the site.
I have a 11 month-old kitten named Pepper who has been having some eye discharge. It's clear but looks a bit goopy. I had noticed that he was constantly getting crusties in his left eye and I would clean it out but then I noticed some watery stuff coming out with the crust. At first I thought it was reaction to the crust coming out. But it has been getting more and more. Now it trails down the side of his nose and his other eye is starting to show signs of being watery.
He is otherwise happy and is eating and drinking as usual. No worrying signs in the litterbox either. He's a very laid-back individual so I can't tell if he is more lethargic than usual. He still will chase his sister around or play with toys if offered.
I do have an appointment booked with a vet for first thing Monday morning (I called around and this was the soonest I could be seen anywhere). I am trying my best not to panic! He is a giant of a cat (not fat.....just BIG) but is so sweet and floppy and cuddly. He is awesome with the kids. And I think his sister would be devastated without him. Please tell me I'm over-reacting.
I've been checking his sister's eyes as well but so far haven't seen anything. Is there something I can do to prevent it spreading?
Thanks!
