Could those be toxic to cats? I dunno...I'm becoming a bit paranoid as far as keeping a safe environment for my little guys!
Yeah the smell concerned me. I left the windw open...Originally Posted by strange_wings
Well... if your cats eat any plastic it can potentially kill them. Not from toxicity, but because of a bowel obstruction.
What were your concerns with the covers? Did they have a strong smell when you opened up the package? If so, you might want to hang them outside (not in the sun) for a little bit and let them air out. If they're sturdy enough you can also put them in the washing machine on gentle and cold - then line dry them.
Me either, but there's always an odd cat somewhere that will...Originally Posted by hissy
I have never heard of a cat eating this type of plastic
I fully expect that...the very reason I decided to pick that plastic covering was due to Mr Sasha's CRF issues and his peeing on the bedroom floor...at least it should make cleanup easier (hopefully) and I won't get grief from the landlord...Originally Posted by hissy
If you have more than one cat, you might find this cover to be a popular potty spot. They respond to these types of strong scents by "covering" the smell with their own.
