clear discharge from cat's anus

Lat evening inotice d a clear discharge coming from my Tabby's anus.  He left several little puddles around.  No smell to it.  He seemed a little subdued.  Watched andw aited overnight and seems fine this a.m.  Has taken water and food, and no furtehr discharge.  Don't know if he's been in the litter box yet today (we have two cats, wihch makes it difficult to tell)  Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Are you physically seeing it coming from the anus or is it there after he sits down?  Either way I would recommend a vet visit.

Yes, I second the recommendation of a vet visit, or at the very least a call to your vet to see if they think that you should come in.  This is not normal.
