That depends purely on how old your computer is!! I stress - don't do it unless you know that your keyboard will be safe in there. Normally when I spill anything on the keyboard, I wait until it dries, then take all the keys off and take a damp cloth over everything. I took a course a long time ago on repairing computers and such. Believe it or not you can actually run a keyboard through the dishwasher so you could probably just wash it off under the faucet. Don't use soap though.
