Hello,

I noticed the thumb claw on both left and right paws look black under. He has black paw pads but the black area im confused about is right under his claw. His other claws look normal nail color under neath. What can this be? Video attached.

Hi. Have you checked to see if it is dirt? If your cat will let you, protract the claw for a closer look to ensure there is no redness or swelling underneath, and then take a wet Q-tip and see if the 'black' wipes off. If you do see redness or swelling and can get a pic of it, you could try sending that to your vet and see what they think. Depending on how your vet operates and the rapport you have with them, if they think it needs some sort of treatment (fungus?) they might prescribe something to you without having to bring your cat into their office.
