I need some advice. The vet prescribed Clavamox for Cindy due to infections. We are supposed to give it to her twice a day for 14 days. We gave her her first two doses yesterday, and this morning I found 2 places where she had diarrhea. I know that can be a side effect, but is it something that should cause me to stop medicating her? I will call the vet tomorrow, but thought maybe someone would have some info to pass along before then. I gave her her dose this morning.
I'm also having a difficult time getting her to eat. She has been licking the gravy, but I'm not certain if it's enough. She's not a real big eater to begin with. To top it off, she might have food allergies, but I don't know to what.
She just came out from behind the couch and is looking out the window. She seems okay, but I don't want her getting dehydraded. I'm not sure she used the litter box to urinate yesterday or this morning.
I'm going to see if I can find a grocery store open so I can get some more food with gravy, most of what I have left is solid. She did eat some solid this morning, but I don't know if that was before or after the diarrhea, because it was 4:30 in the morning when I gave it to her and I accidently locked my self out of the house for awhile
Whoever said cats will help reduce you're stress obviously didn't have cats of their own!
