My cat Molly has CKD and was diagnosed around a year ago after doing a senior blood work up and urine test. She wasn’t showing any symptoms.
I’m bringing her in for a checkup/blood work on Wednesday, my vet also wants to do another urinalysis
Can someone please explain to me why it’s necessary to do both? Wouldn’t the blood test tell him everything he needs to know? I asked the receptionist when I made the appointment but the vet was busy with another patient and couldn’t take the phone to explain and I do plan on asking on Weds I just want to be well informed before I go in.
It’s less expensive to do just the blood test and checkup... I don’t mind spending the money and doing both if that’s what she needs I just want to understand why.
