HI!
I have had Polly and Roxie on Maaxxim (kitten) for the last few months while Roxie got a bit older. (because I was told that walmarts Maxxim KITTEN formula was pretty decent as far as cheap foods go.)
They seemed to do pretty well on it, and Polly, who was getting fat before Maxxim, actually LOST weight and looks really good now. (we bought a large house to, and she has been a lot more active in the last couple months as well though)
here is a break-down of what they have had and then my question..
Polly who is a 1 and a half has been on Science Diet for her first year, until we got Roxie
When we got Roxie, I put them both on Science diet Natural Kitten, vet said it would be ok, just watch polly's weight.
Polly toped out at 13lbs (shes a BIG Polydactyl) then I moved them both to Natural Balance Venison and Pea, Roxie was about 3 months old. They both LOOOOVED it.
It got too expencive though at the time, and we were trying to buy a house, so the last 5 months or so, I have been feeding Maaxim Kitten, it seemed to be the BEST CHEAP food I could find. The other brands made me want to throw up when I read the ingredients.
SO, I finally got a bag of Maaxim I wasn't happy with and vowed to get the kitties back on something decent.
I went to the feed store and they had Chicken Soup for the Cat Lovers Soul.
It was the adult formula, but Roxie is 8 months old now and should be fine with adult food.
My question....
I reaaally liked the Natural Balance dry and wet. How does CSFTCLS compare to NB dry??? It is SOOO much more dooable, budget wise. AND i can get it localy. I have to drive an hour to get NB.
Is it a good food?? or should I just switch back to NB???
Thanks for reading!
