Hi guys! Well I did a search of the forums and I couldn't find a thread on the question I'm about to ask, so I decided to start one.
You know how cats make that weird clicking sound when they see birds and whatnot? Does anyone know why they do it? Speculate why they do it?
To me it seems like they are making a noise they think might entice the bird (or whatever) to come closer.
It's just funny because our back windows look right into the floor of the woods (I mean there's this slope that goes up so when you stand in the backyard your eyes are at the same level as the forest floor). Anyhow there's all sorts of things out there the kittys go crazy talking to. On our back deck, which is level with the sliding glass door, we have a family of lizards (they looks like skinks to me) that sunbathes on the deck every afternoon when the sun comes out. This drives the cats CRAZY!!! All of them just go nuts talking to the lizards, it is so funny, because none of the cats sounds alike in their little teeth clicking thing they do.
