Donnie is doing GREAT. He's still a little skittish but doesn't run from loud noises or new people anymore (unless they're kids). No lingering physical issues, except - the fur on his ears grew back white. Super weird! Here's a pic:
It's sad that the injury actually damaged hair follicles, but as far as scars go, his little ear stripes are super cute. Nowadays Donnie's entire life revolves around "Da Bird." The ears are the only reminder of his injuries. Cats are wonderfully resilient!
