Cats only want the dogs food

Is there a food out there that's good for cats who only want to go after the dogs food?  I feed them separately, but as soon as I put the dog food out, the cats come running, and my two dogs back off immediately and just let the cats take over.  At this point they practically refuse to eat their food and start meowing at the dog food, only giving in when they see I will NOT pour dog food for them.

What foods are your cats receiving now? Did they used to enjoy it or have they always gravitated towards the other food? A lot of brands sell both cat and dog food, so if they seem to have a preference for what the dogs are getting, you could try getting a small/sample bag of the same brand of cat food. Have you tried locking the cats in another room when you feed the dogs, or feeding the dogs in an area the cats don't go/aren't allowed?

Dog food usually doesn't have enough taurine which is necessary for cats.

I do realize that cats shouldn't eat dog food, because of the lack of taurine.  Both eat Authority.
