I hope that someone will have some advice for me. Back in October we got a new male kitty (Boomer) to accomodate or 7 year old male, Pumpkin. He was getting pretty fat and we thought a kitten would encourage more exercise.
The meeting went really well, a couple of arched backs and fluffy tails and that was it.
It wasn't long they were sleeping together and bathing each other.
Yesterday morning when I woke up both cats were snuggled right in between DH and I.
We get home from lunch yesterday, everyone is arched back and fluffy tailed. They proceed to fight.
So what we have done it separated them, gave them each their own food, water and litter box.
They growl at each other through the door if they can tell one is on the other side.
What could have possibly happened? Is there any hope at all?
