Catnip Tea - Am I nuts?

If it is the shop bought bags that you can make tea with, then it should be fine - I have some of those, but never made tea with it, as they liked the bags enough without it!! Mine are the mice shaped ones.

These toys I have are something that the receptionist at my vet's office makes. It's just a square piece of fabric bundled up with a tablespoon or 2 of organic catnip inside. They go crazy for them, and best of all they're free too!
If I do the tea again, I think I will just use a piece of plain white gauze as a bag, or else I'll get one of those tea thingamajigs to put the loose catnip in for brewing.
I'm not much of a tea drinker, or else I'd probably already have the right 'tools' for it.
