I have a 3 yr old cat that I took to the vet on sunday because he was straning to pee and was bleeding. They put a catheter on it for aorund an hour or so, drained him and then took it out. They told me I could take it home so I did.
Currently it's day 2 and my cat has incontinence. They said it's normal. He's a bit active and walks around but refuses to eat and I haven't seen him drinking any liquid since yesterday. He ate a little bit yesterday, I switched to canned food today and he just licked it for a bit and left it.
They gave me antibiotics on pills which he refuses to swallow no mater what I tried. He tries to bite everytime I try to give it to him so I opted to crush the pill and give it to him. He still stried to spit it out having a bit of foam comming out of it's mouth.
I called the vet and they told me that if he refuses to eat then I have to take him back tomorow.
Has anyone else experienced this with their pet? Are there any warning signs I should be aware of? It it normal for him to refuse to eat? Thank you.
