Cat With Uti Infection

Hi everyone,
My cat is going through an UTI infection. This is the first time he had this and I went with him to the vet, he is on antibiotics and a pain medication but I'm scared for him.
I don't know what to do, he is in pain and he is going to the bathroom every hour or so, he also has a bit of blood in his urine.
I know it takes a couple of days for the infection to start getting better but I just cant watch him in pain when he pees
Can anyone tell me about the experience you had with UTI?
Any suggestions or advice?
Is there anything that I can do for him?

Ask the vet about getting a few days of syringes of buprenorphine oral. You just drag the tip along their gum line while you plunge the syringe. I always had it when Tommy got urinary blockages and went through a catheter and all that fun stuff.

He is on a pain relief already. Once a day, I need to give him another one tomorrow but the problem is that today, I gave him the pain killer and after a while he throw up and I don't know if any stuck in his system and the vet said to absolutely not give him another one today.
