I feed on a schedule rather than free feed. They get wet food at 6:30 AM & 6:30 PM, then a "snack" of dry crunchies at 12:30PM, 8:30 PM and then just before lights out. We have playtime in the evening just before their final crunchies. They don't wake me in the night to eat and sometimes they let me sleep in until 7:30 AM on my morning off and weekends before they are just dying of starvation. LOL You might want to also consider changing meal times and what you're feeding at what time.
