Hi all! I have a *tiny* livingroom in a tiny apartment, with low windows open most of the time. Today I planted marigolds outside my windows. Tonight I think I might smell cat spray-- not outside, but here indoors! Smokey never sprays. He's neutered and 5 years old, and mellow. I just read online that cats hate marigold smell. The strong wind is surely blowing marigold scent into the tiny livingroom where Smokey spends 99% of his time. Should I get rid of these marigolds?  Are they upsetting Smokey?

I would if they're making him spray. I had the same problem with oregano in our backyard. Our last cat was neutered and leash-trained, and he always wanted to spray the oregano when I took him for his walks. Naturally we didn't want to use it after that, so it had to go. :lol3:

Oh my, what a story about the oregano! :D I've removed the Marigolds for the sake of harmony. Smokey means the WORLD to me!! I'll do some research, and plant something more agreeable for him!
