My cat had a litter of just one four days. Mother and son both thriving. I expected she’d have more but didn’t. Concerning her health, I’m wondering is it possible she may have too much milk now. They seem so full…. I was thinking of getting in touch with local rescue centre to adopt orphaned kittens… I’ve never done this before - what are the pros and cons? I want to help other kittens but not jeopardise my other cat and kitten’s care.

It would be lovely if you offered to foster orphans since your cat has plenty of milk. As long as the orphans are healthy and similar in age, there are no downsides. The single kitten would then have 3-4 litter mates.
