Just wanted to give an update. Pudden pooped! She finally had a normal sized bowel movement this morning. She is back to not drinking at all, but I realize when cats are ill they have good and bad days. So i will continue giving her water by syringe, hopefully she'll start drinking again soon. She has done very well off the pain meds and is keeping her food down that I am syringe feeding her.

If you're feeding wet food, add enough water to it to make it the consistency of thick oatmeal.  That way she gets the hydration she needs.  Warming the food up a touch will also entice her to eat.

My vet has my cat on Miralax, 1/2 teaspoon twice daily.  That has helped with her constipation and it seems gentle.  No side effects at all.
