Cat nip.................

I was just wondering if cat's can overdose on Cat nip.
My cat pepper eats it alot. Whenever we buy it, He finishes it in a day. He has had no problems as of yet, but I need to know if they can overdose?!

No, catnip is nothing like a real drug. Cats will actually leave it alone once they have had enough. If they actually eat it and eat too much, they may get an upset stomach but no overdose.

but instead rips apart the toy it's in and fuz and nip are all over the apartment!

A co-worker's cat once ate SO MUCH catnip, they feared for its life. The worst it got was the cat got sick & threw up. No permanent damage...

No real harm, just an upset tummy. That is why we ration it for them. They get it as a treat only.
