Unfortunately not many people decide to take pictures of the neuter recovery process, so I had issues finding what was normal and what isn't.

I had a 1.5yr old cat get neutered, and have tried to keep a cone on him to prevent licking.
On day 1, my cat managed to shake off the cone overnight. The wound has definitely been licked. Unfortunately I didn't have the idea to take any "before" pictures.
On day 2 and 3 of recovery, I noticed this fleshy bit sticking out. Nearby fur was moist but not excessive, nothing dripping. No change in activity levels or signs of pain.

Not sure if this is cause for concern. Would appreciate any feedback regarding this!

I would send these images to your vet and get his/her advice. I'm concerned about the raw looking skin.

He looks ok to me. Maybe a little swollen and some clipper burn but there really isn't much that can mess up on a neuter. Of course, sending pictures to your vet is always a good idea.
