My kitty, Dolly, started limping last Wednesday and as soon as I saw it I was afraid she had a broken leg. I rushed her to the vet and they did x-rays on both front legs so they could compare the bone structure but there was no break. They checked her thoroughly and said there were no bites or cuts or anything wrong with her paw.
The limp is in her right front paw. It looks like the paw doesn't work anymore. The vet said perhaps it was a sprain or it could be neurologic.
They gave her an injection of antibiotics to be safe and an injection of anti-inflammatory. They also gave her some pain medication and told me to monitor her and if she is no better to bring her back this Wednesday.
She still isn't any better and it looks like that paw doesn't work anymore. I am so worried about her. Has anyone else seen anything like this? By the way they did blood tests and everything came back fine.
She does have thyroid disease which she gets medicine for twice a day and seems to be doing fine with that.
