Hey guys!
Not sure if you guys remember me, I have the baby Tyrion kitty that I found out recently is a fippy kitty. Tyrion is actually doing really well and finally eating well again! He's growing too!
This is about my other 5 year old cat Prince. About a week-two weeks ago I noticed something on the couch that didn't have a smell but I knew it wasn't chocolate because we are very careful with chocolate around the house due to the cats. I can't say I sniffed it, but I assumed it was a dabble of poop and cleaned it up. Since then it's happened twice on my bed. I wasn't sure it was Prince until yesterday when I was petting Prince on my bed and when he moved his butt the same looking dabble was there.
I did look up on google before coming here, and so far I've read it could be some sort of anal problem, or it could be anal glands? I question the last thing because it was said that the anal glands tend to have a fishy odor and I have not smelled such an odor thus far. I'm reaching out to you guys hoping we can figure this out. If I have to take him to the vet I will, I'm just nervous because I recently had a bad experience there getting overcharged with Tyrion's surgery and whatnot, and I haven't been able to find another vet I trust.
For now we put Prince in his own kitty room with litter box, food, water and some comfort toys and beds. We don't have a door for our bedroom yet so it's the only way to make sure he stays off the bed, and also he's been uppity with Tyrion, but that's because we were recently doing some construction in the house >.>
I did notice "soft stool" in his litter box today, they're new within the last 24 hours. Not soupy like diarrhea, just soft and lightly colored, if that helps at all.
The dabbles of poop he leaves behind are dime size and dark. Counting today I've seen 4 total in the last week and a half.
