Cat Has Weird Thing On Bottom Of Top Lip

hi!

So today I was making a video with a mom cat I’m fostering and noticed something....

It does not look normal to me and it’s hard to take pictures of since it’s an awkward angle. It’s just dark red and it very noticeable from certain angles. This is the first time I see it on her.

I will be taking her to the vet as soon as I get paid since I have to get her spayed and everything else in order for the organization to help me but for now , any ideas on what it could be?

Could she pass it on to her kitties?

Hopefully it's just something where maybe she ran into an object, however it's a good thing that you'll be headed into the vet
Can you try for another picture and send it to your vet sooner, thinking of your concern about the kittens?

I agree, and not one to run to the vet easily, having a cat rescue I do most medical and treatments without, but this doesn't look good and looks rather painful being red like it is and inflammed.
