I am new to this site but my cat has been having a problem with his nose for awhile now and I am not sure what to do at this point. A few years ago my cat accidentally had gotten his nose hit and it had swelled up, so we took him to the doctor and they said everything seemed fine. He has had a few runny noses here and there but nothing big until maybe a year ago he started sneezing out gobs of mucus and his eye started leaking. Took him to the vets and got antibiotics and it went away. A few months later it came back so we did the antibiotics again. In December the left side of his nose somewhat near his eye started swelling . Took him back antibiotics again. It started swelling again not too long ago so we brought him in for a nasal flush. They found a blockage and tested it and it came back as inflammation. No cancer cells or anything. Well a couple days after the flush i hve noticed it swelling again and this time its even bigger. The vet said i could take him for an mri or put him on steroids. I decided to try the steroids. He has only been given prednisole once but it did seem a tiny bit better this morning. I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar problem with their cat. I am wondering if I should take him to another vet. I really can't afford an mri but wouldn't an xray show something? or maybe some other kind of diagnostics? i have pictures but could not figure out how to get them on here. Sorry
