Have you ever known a cat who didn't like cat furniture? I'm talking about those carpeted things they can climb on, they usually have levels and sometimes toys. I'm wondering if my cat would like one.
You almost need to start them off as kittens with cat trees. I got a 6 foot cat tree when they were 2 months old and they used it right away.Originally Posted by Vickie
I bought a super-expensive one for my two girls about a year ago. Not interested! Sniffed it, walked around it, jumped on it a few times but that was it. I tried moving it to other areas of the house, next to windows, in quiet spots.. no luck! Tried enticing them with toys and games but they would turn their nose up and walk away.
They prefer to sleep in the laundry basket and scratch on their $5 cardboard scratching post!
They act like princesses most of the time but this was an expensive lesson for me!
I bought one off of eBay - Armarkat is the company. Raven was 6 months old when I got it and didn't really like it too much as first for playing, but does like to sleep on it. I leave it by the window so she can watch out. Then along came George at 6 weeks old and as soon as we put him down in the house he was swinging on the rope and scurrying up the sides. I think it would be a good investment. And they always have plenty of scratching posts the cats love as well. I'm sure there are some cats that don't like them, but the majority probably do. If yours doesn't like it, just sell it back on eBay! You can buy them also at www.Armarkat.com. They have a variety of sizes and are pretty inexpensive ($50 - $80) compared to what you would pay at Pet Supermarket!Originally Posted by hannahgirl
