Cat eye problem - herpes, ulcer?? (with picture)

I can only imagine what a difficult situation you were in here. Do you know the folks that your SIL is giving the kitty to? Will they have the eye treated?

I've only just come across this thread and you must have been in an awful position. I can't believe anybody could let it get that bad!! I just don't get it.
Anyway I hope now that the cat has a new owner it will get immediate medical help. Poor kitty.
