Cat Enclosures

I have been reading about cats going outside since little Shadoe did a runner last night. Thanks to me having a harness on her all the time and a tag that i got when i microchipped her on as well, we got her back after only a day.

But this has made me think about how to control her outside activities. Lately she has been pawing the windows trying to open them to get out. We did take her out on a leader, but for the time being, that is being curbed.

What types of cat structures are there out on the market, or how to DIY (Do it Yourself).

Any help would be welcome.

My husband and I made a cat enclosure using a portable greenhouse frame and some plastic garden netting (pics at the end of the above link), but there are lots of different ways you can go about keeping cats safe outside, depending on your situation.
