Hi,

I have a 15 month of cat called Daisy who has started scratching and head shaking her ears, she has made scabs and open wounds infront of her ears, we took her to the vet and they gave her a steroid injection about 3 months ago ( the vet said she didn't have ear mites & not related to fleas) 3 months gone and the same has come back. We went to the vet a couple of days ago with the same problem and they gave us 'canaural' ear drops 2 times a day to fight of any infection, if anything it has made her irritation and discomfort worse!

I feel so bad for her and don't know what to do, i don't want to pester the vets and was wondering if it will get better?  As she has been head shaking every couple of minutes even when the ear drops have been added 8+ hours after, also the tips of her ears have gone a dark purple colour. Was wondering if it is doing more harm than good?

Feel so sorry for her as it seems so discomforting :( .

Wondering if anyone else has been through the same thing?

Thanks x

Assumed ear mites as well, they prescribed an ear mite remedy.

Best to inform your Vet of what is going on have never used but

normally need to wait a few days for results.

Clindamycin is an internal antibiotic used for many issues....
