My cat Huxley is half Siamese and he is 7 months old. Ever since I got him (at 3 months) he does this weird breathing thing. The closest thing I can compare it to would be what cats do when they are about to throw up, but it's more like he can't breath. It's a wheezing/ heaving in and out type thing. (I'm sorry, it's REALLY hard to describe) It lasts under a minute usually. Then he returns to normal, unphased. He never has thrown up as a result of it. Sometimes he will repeat the behavior several times in a row. He does throw up from time to time though. He eats, drinks, and goes to the bathroom fine (as far as I can tell). The only thing I have noticed, is that he seems to only has these episodes when he comes to snuggle and love on me. It's always when he is doing that and purring.
I asked the vet and showed her a video of it. They did a stool sample to test for parasites and she also looked in his throat when he went under anesthesia for his neuter surgery. Nothing. She also didn't offer any answers when I picked him up. I wish I could upload a video. I am new here so maybe I am missing something. Let me know if I can.
WHAT COULD IT BE?!
Thanks
