CAT COUGH DURING SLEEP

can someone help. i love my cat. she is suddenly coughin at night during her sleep. is this due to hairballs ? i havnt fed her hairballs puking things lately. she recently got a shave too. she has no more hairs. could she maybe have caught the cold ?

I have never heard either one of my boys cough like they have a hairball in their sleep. Is there any congestion? I think I would go ahead and call my vet and ask just to be safe. Keep us posted on how your baby is.

How old is she and has she ever done this before? It could be seasonal allergies, a respiratory infection or something else. If she continues, I suggest a trip to the vet for her.

im sorry i cant really offer any advice, but i have found with my kitten, he sneezes in his sleep, i am taking him to the vet as i have been told he may have cat flu.
