My emotional support cat whom is 24/7 glued to me got sick a few days ago and the vets assured us it was a routine cold of sorts, they gave us Benadryl and some other things to get her better and said that it can last up to 10 days. Her throat hurts from coughing though so she won't drink or eat on her own. Family says I should wait until she drinks by herself - but I know how detrimental dehydration can be.
I went to petsmart and got her a heating pad, humidifyer, kitten milk replacer and a load of lickable foods like churu which I can syringe feed her with. I've been mixing the kitten milk with water for extra hydration - what else should I be doing to help her?
