Cat bottom lip swollen after feeding canned food

Hi everyone! I've been feeding my 8 month old kitten Chloe a mix of raw meat and Honest kitchen. I decided to mix in Evo canned food instead of the raw meat. I gave her a dab every meal. I decided to try the venison flavor. 2 days later her bottom lip was a little swollen. I thought nothing of it. It's been about 5 days after starting the canned food and her bottom lip is really swollen. Do you think the canned food caused this?

It's possible.  Stop the food and see if it goes away.  She could also have some kind of rodent ulcer, so you will want to get her to the vet to get checked out.  If you're using plastic dishes, switch to stainless steel or ceramic.

I stopped the can food today and I'm going to stop using plastic spoons/measuring cups too just in case. Would it be safe to wait a week to see if it subsides?
