Cat behaviour

Just wondering
Is it normal for cats to sit in Windows watching the cars go by? I always think it looks depressed or wishing he was out doors (house cat).
Anyone is this normal ?

My cat Martha loves looking out the window. She loves watching the birds and life in the street

It's his fav spot ..even when nothing goin on lol

Yes martha can spend hours looking out the window .her tail goes into overdrive when she sees a bird
