cat anus swollen?

i have noticed my cats anus looks redder and more swollen than usual. i also think she is constipated as she cannot poop (shes straining alot though) but do not know if the swelling is normal, anyone help please?

Definitely not normal, poor girl. I’d get her to a vet asap, and by asap I mean like today since many vets are closed weekends and I personally would not wait on this. Not pooping and straining is already a concern but that looks like a prolapse to me.

If this is going into a prolapse, it will be serious. Even a protrusion of this kind needs some quick vet attention, especially with constipation which will cause straining and add to the problem.

Poor kitty, that looks so painful. Seems like something is definitely wrong. Could be so many things- allergies, worms, etc. agree with everyone above that a vet is urgently necessary! Wishing you the best of luck with your baby

thank you guys so much for the help! i took my cat to the vets today and it turns out one of her anal glands is infected. she is currwntly on some painkillers and antibiotics and has another checkup on thursday
