Cat Amputee

Hello...I'm looking for some advice!

My cat had his front leg amputated after an accident some 8 weeks ago now. He recovered marvellously well, but suddenly has become unwell since yesterday.

If any vet is reading this, is it possible he suddenly has an infection after all this time? He can't get out of the garden to have swallowed rat poison or anything from the surrounding countryside.

Not impossible, but it could be something else.

Either way, I think it is a good reason to call the vet. Whether it has to do with the leg or not, a sudden illness is not a good sign, especially since cats are so good at hiding their illnesses. Call the vet; ask if you should bring him in.
