Cat always has big wet spot above nose

Hi! Starting a few months ago my cat has had this big wet spot (at least it looks wet) above his nose. It is ALWAYS there regardless of whether he has had water recently. Sometimes the edges get crusty and i have to scrape it off. I am just wondering if this is cause for concern. Thanks

Hi. When it just looks wet, have you tried to take a tissue and wipe it to see if it is actually moisture? I only ask because you didn't mention that part. Also, do you have pics of both the area when it looks wet, and then when it looks crusty that you could share with us?

It probably is cause for concern, but the degree of concern would vary depending on a multitude of things - does he have any other symptoms of anything else going on? Does he eat/drink/play/pee/poop OK? Does he go outside? How old is he? Was there a weather change that coincided with this?
