Hi, my cat just delivered 1 kitten only 2 days ago. She’s active after delivery. However, today there’s dry reddish (hard) ‘discharge’ close to her cat house where she and her kitten. Is this normal?

Its not what people usually report, but I hope its nothing to worry about. Especially as she seems OK by everything you can see.

If it is some blood which dried out, or even poo (!?) not easy to know, but as she doesnt has any other alarming signs...

Good you are observant, its the only defence against complications.

When we look closely, looks like blood dried out. Yes, other than that shes doing great.
When we tried to play with other cat, she join right away and frequently taking food and drinks.

Are you able to keep your cat 100% inside and away from intact males? Do you plan to spay her when the kitten has weaned?

Cats do spot blood for up to a week or so after giving birth, so it's normal.

Is the kitten nursing well?

Mom should spend most of her time with her newborn for now.

No, im not.
Ah, ok. I thought maybe you were since you mention she’s BSH.

Are you able to keep mom inside now? She can get pregnant again within a week of delivery, even without going into heat.
