So I have a few questions.

My 2nd cat Tanka is acting super weird since my other cat Athena gave birth.

Whenever I get home she is always meowing at me bloody murder she never EVER used to do that.

She and her sister used to be super super super close like they would lick each other close. Now when Athena (The one who had the kittens) comes near here she hisses and growls at her. She never wants to be near her.

Also she is acting different with us she is sweet when I pet her but she kind of follows my hand as I'm petting as if she wants to bite me yet she is purring????

Does she have rabies is she in heat? Its been going on for 11 days.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

One cat having kittens can sometimes change the dynamic of their feline social structure, with Athena being protective of her kittens, Tanka might see that as aggression towards her, and then feel stressed by that. So, no, you don't have to worry about it being rabies. It is required by law for all pets to be vaccinated against rabies, so if your cats have not received this vaccine, it's a good idea to get that done at your vet. Also, for the health of both your cats, they need to be spayed! (Athena should be spayed after her kittens are weaned). Spaying prevents a whole host of diseases, including pyometra and mammary gland tumors. They will also be less likely to attempt to escape to find a male cat. I'll attach a few articles for you to read about the importance of spaying: http://cattime.com/cat-facts/health/386-spay-neuter-health-benefits-to-your-cat

If cost is an issue, I can help you locate a low cost clinic in your area.
