Can't Get Cat to Change To Dry Food - HELP!

The other thing is cats have a very weak thirst drive. They retain the ability to extract water from food that helped the Sand Cat survive. There is very little water in the dessert so this ability helped them survive.

Feeding dry food means cats can't utilize this ability and become dehydrated which causes kidney disease, urinary issues and more.

In retrospect if I was doing it all over again I wouldn't give my cats dry food. Have you tried mixing in pumpkin puree into her current wet food? That would give her more fiber

Feed have of a friskies can 5.5 ounce in the am and pm and put a teasppon of water in it or a littel less , try feeding a difernt flavore to maby
