Totally agree with you on that. The Smoke Mau is genetically a black cat with the silver inhibitor gene. Some are so bright, you can see their spots from across the room. Without a doubt, the pattern is there. What more proof would your theory need?Originally Posted by GoldenKitty45

Blue (grey) is the dilute of black. And many solid blue cats will have ghost tabby markings on the legs and tail as babies. Its very evident in Russian Blue kittens!
