I hate to ask this question but I will anyway. I've been using the same carabiner keychain for a LONG time. It looks kind of beat up, it's unwieldy, and it's heavy. I'm one to use things indefinitely if they don't need replacing. However, it was becoming unmanageable.
My question is, which end of a valet keychain does the valet get-the actual keychain part, or the silver ring part (not that I'm in valet situations often)?
Obviously, he/she will get the end with the car key on it but which end should that be-silver ring or keychain?
Again, pardon my ignorance but I reasoned that the valet gets the keychain part because often, it has the car logo on it, which may help ID and find the car. More simply, the car key goes with the car keychain. Is there a right answer or is it personal preference?
Or, do I simply detach the key from the keychain altogether, and just hand the valet the key, sans any attachments?
