Can anyone in Ottowa or if you are a veg gardener help me??

I cannot locate a retail source in the US of a certain type of beet seed. My source has had crop failures for the past 3 years!! I located a source in Canada but they only ship in to Canada addresses. I need to find out from the USPS and customs if I can get these seeds shipped into the US. I also found a source in the UK. I would like them soon before many people start their seed ordering.

I am not in Ottawa but if you don't find someone who can help, you could try a mail forwarding service like this one http://www.canadareship.com/index_files/Page433.htm

I use one to ship to US addresses then on to me

Just find out if once I've received them if I can send them to you over the border and that I won't be breaking any kind of food and drug law or something

Hmm. Based on that, it doesn't look like they can be sent over the border without some kind of nursery permit. That's probably why you can't find a Canadian Distributor that will ship over the border: too many regulations.

I found information that because its a small lot of seeds I shouldn't need any special permits or certificates but there is a phone # to call so I may do that for sure!

I'm not in Ottawa, but I could probably help. I was considering ordering some seeds too, so if that store has things I like I could even have your seeds shipped at the same time.

I'm not sure what the regulations are for crossing the border.
