yes its actually best to gradually introduce a new food mixing it with the old.
should be fine! just do a spoon full of the new with a packet of the old and gradually add more new and less old. do it over a month to get rid of the old.

I have only just noticed this thread!! I feed mine HiLife for wet - Ginger gets the complete pate's, as he can't eat a lot of biscuits (he has no teeth, and drops them a lot), the girls have the pouches. Ginger and Tom have senior James Wellbeloved biscuits as they need to lose weight, the girls have HiLife biscuits, and I have agreed to buy biscuits for my fosters too, as I can get 2kg of HiLife biscuits for £6.99. The fosters get Whiskas or Arthurs for wet though, as I can't afford to feed them all on HiLife, but they do get anything mine wont eat, and they are going to start getting raw chunks of meat once a month. I did look at the M & S food at X Mas cos I had some vouchers, but didn't want to get them started on more expensive food!! Plus Ginger doesnt like fishy foods, and Tom can't have them cos of his cystitis. I have bought Feline Fayre for the fosters though, those and the HiLife tins are a good treat at a good price.

Does anyone know of any websites which are reasonably priced for their wet kitten food?

Thanks

you could try something like this at first before you go and buy loads. a kitten won't eat a whole can or pouch in one go usually! http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/c...e/kitten/30044

these are a few places that sell once you find what you want.

this is where i get my Royal Canin stuff: www.vetuk.co.uk

I'm pretty sure that you can get Burns "real food for cats" in the UK, through your vets - it is excellent, high quality, cruelty-free and about half the price of Hill's science diet. My cats enjoy it.

Your vet might be able to give you sample packs - that's how we tried it out before you decided to commit.

I don't know if they do wet food - this is kibble. So if you are part feeding dry, I definately recommend looking into it.

we can get burns over here - I recently posted the ingredients to see what people thought, and the concensus (sp??) was that the grain content was too high, so I didnt change mine over to it. You can ring them up and get free samples though. I personally prefer HiLife and JWB dry - I can get HiLife for the same price as Burns, not as high meat content, but not as high in grains either.
