I called the vet's office at the stroke of 6am, and got the bad news. At 10 years of age, parvo just turned out to require more fight than little Cabela had in her. She passed away at the vet's office very early this morning.
I want to think that Cabela had truly found a home here with us. Her loving soul with her kind ways was adopted into the fold of Jellicle cats faster than a new cat would have been, with all the Jellicle's loving her. She found joy and purpose in making it her duty to stand watch over the Jellicle Tribe, to guard them against any and all things that may come to pass. She even watched over them when daddy had that "flashy camera thing" out chasing them around.
I'll go into town in a bit and bring her home. She will rest in the garden alongside Mungojerri Yella, the little feral that became her friend.
So now she travels to the bridge, there I'm sure to do what she loved to do and did best...to gather all the little ones to her, to watch over them, and to keep them safe till we join them. I already miss you so much baby.
