I'm calling on all business owners, accountants and whoever else might be able to help.
I am trying to find a source which will tell me how to put a value on my husbands business. Most sites I go to simply tell me different methods but do not provide the "how to calculate" part. I also used a few "on-line calculators", but it was not helpful at all. One calculator valued the business at just over 100K and another at 1.6M. Really?
If anyone knows how to do it, and would kindly provide me with the basics on how to calculate it, I would be grateful.
Just so you know, we will eventually get a professional to do it, but I just need an estimate for the time being.

You'll want to summarize/total last years' profit on the books, any remaining inventory and any additional assets, such as tools, cars, computers, adding machines...

Last year's profits will give you the blue sky projection you need.
